Retired from the field of change management in corporate America, Janet Birgenheier is now a career coach. She guides her clients to realize their visions for meaningful work by living their values, following their passions, and leveraging their strengths.

Janet has written The Mentoring Difference: Stories to Inspire Your Career Transformation. Her own mentoring experience moved Janet to tell her transformation story.

Entering corporate America in a male-dominated industry, her mentor guided Janet to master important skills and even more important life lessons. She gained the confidence, assertiveness, and courage that drove her later success. Nine additional, true stories reveal how women and men in a variety of fields transformed under their mentors’ guidance. The concluding chapters capture enlightening themes across the stories and relevant, actionable advice on receiving a mentor and nurturing the relationship.
